Sharing the joys of model railroading on the San Francisco peninsula

I was an avid second-generation model railroader in my youth, HO gauge, then packed it up when I headed off to college. I always thought I might return to it when I retired, so I kept it all these years, but I won't be doing that.

If anyone wants it, FREE to pick up (in Redwood City), I have photos and an inventory list.  Not that much, just one box.  They have been untouched for more than half a century—the newspaper wrapping is 1965.  So they are either from the 1960s, or my dad's from the 1940s.  Motorized and non-motorized steam and diesel, freight and passenger cars.  In a separate box, I have a dozen HO structures that I either designed and built myself, from balsa wood, or from plastic kits.

Btw, I'm keeping my brass HO and HOn3 locomotives for now (Mason Bogie, Reno, Heisler, D&RG #20, etc.), and my books on Colorado narrow gauge railroads, but I could be talked into selling those if someone was passionate about having it.  This post is mostly about giving away my HO items from the 1940s and 1960s.
